The AABC Commissioning Group (ACG) is a nonprofit association of certified commissioning authorities dedicated to providing professional, independent commissioning services. The guiding principles for ACG are similar to those of the Associated Air Balance Council (AABC), whose members are expected to maintain high standards of professionalism and technical expertise. The ACG certification exam tests the knowledge and technical expertise of eligible commissioning providers. The exam is based on material contained in the ACG Commissioning Guideline, a publication that describes the process of commissioning in detail. To download or purchase a copy of the Guideline, see www.commissioning.org/commissioningguideline. Membership and certification in ACG is open to licensed architects, professional engineers (P.E.s), certified test and balance engineers (TBEs), and others who can demonstrate sufficient commissioning experience. ACG will ensure that members maintain high standards of practice while providing professional, independent commissioning services to building owners and other industry professionals. For additional information about membership in ACG or participation in the development of the examination or other association programs, contact ACG Headquarters at:1518 K Street, NW, Washington, DC, 20005.
