ACG worked with professional psychometricians to develop a rigorous certification exam that tests the knowledge and expertise of eligible commissioning providers. The exam is based on material contained in the ACG Commissioning Guideline.

Membership and certification in ACG is open to licensed architects, engineers, certified test and balance engineers (TBEs), and others who can demonstrate comprehensive commissioning experience.
