AABC is proud to endorse AHR Expo

The Associated Air Balance Council (AABC) will exhibit at AHR Expo 2020, the world’s largest HVACR marketplace. AABC is a nonprofit association of qualified independent test and balance (TAB) agencies that establishes industry standards for the field measurement and documentation of HVAC systems, and provides education, technical training, and certification for its members.

Mike Kelly Mike Kelly, TBE, CxA, American Testing Inc. will deliver a technical presentation “Fundamentals of Test, Adjust, & Balance for Engineers, Cx & Energy Providers.” This practical, information-packed session explains many of the key test and balance challenges—from practical system design considerations, to the TAB Process, to obtaining meaningful and useful data—that if properly addressed in cooperation with an independent TAB firm can ensure that any project goes smoothly.

    An independent Testing and Balancing Agency certified by the AABC shall be engaged to Test and Balance the HVAC systems. Systems shall be balanced to plus/minus 10% of design requirements. The contractor shall place all systems and equipment into full operation for Testing and Balancing. One copy of the final Test and Balance report with the AABC National Performance Guaranty shall be sent directly to the engineer of record. Provide five (5) additional copies to the contractor.
