Test And Balance Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform testing, adjusting and balancing for commercial HVAC systems
  • Competent in air, water, sound, and vibration testing
  • Key role between customer projects and office project management team.
  • Perform mathematical operations quickly and accurately
  • Prepare written reports regarding system installation function and design deficiencies
Test And Balance Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ultimately responsible for overseeing technical operations of the company; reviewing and certifying test and balance reports; and providing supervision and training of technicians.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and technical competence in air and hydronic systems balancing including fan and pump laws, psychrometrics and heat transfer, electrical systems, sound and vibration testing, instrumentation and TAB project management.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years test and balance experience is required.

  • Suggested Drawing Specification

    An independent Testing and Balancing Agency certified by the AABC shall be engaged to Test and Balance the HVAC systems. Systems shall be balanced to plus/minus 10% of design requirements. The contractor shall place all systems and equipment into full operation for Testing and Balancing. One copy of the final Test and Balance report with the AABC National Performance Guaranty shall be sent directly to the engineer of record. Provide five (5) additional copies to the contractor.
