2022 AABC Annual Meeting Activities
AABC Open Golf Tournament
AABC is hosting the AABC Open Golf Tournament on the
Barony Course at the Port Royal Golf & Racquet Club
on Wednesday, October 12. Teams tee off at 9:24 am.
The cost will be $200 per golfer (includes greens fee, beverage tickets, and gift bag).
Golf club and shoe rental will be an additional fee.
The Barony Course was designed by George W. Cobb in the early 1960s and was one of the first courses on Hilton Head Island. From the tee box, many of the holes appear to be relatively open, but as you approach the newly resurfaced Bermuda greens, the real challenge becomes clear. The greens are generous and protected by thick, rough, and unforgiving bunkers, entitling the golfer to have good touch with mid-to short-range iron shots. This is a course where accuracy, not length, is paramount.

Welcome Reception

Wednesday October 12
Ocean Front Deck
6:30pm – 8:00pm
Renew old acquaintances and make new ones at the annual welcome reception. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and great conversation.
Lowcountry Boil in the Park
*$95 adult, $35 child – transportation will be provided
Thursday October 13
Shelter Cove Park
6:00pm – 9:00pm
Join us for fun, music, and games overlooking beautiful Broad Creek, while we bring together the best of the Lowcountry culinary experience: seafood boil, and BBQ with complimentary beer & wine. Guests will have a chance to get an up-close view of baby alligators, snakes, turtles, raptors and other “critters” while learning about local wildlife on the island.

Friday October 14
Grand Ocean Terrace
6:30pm – 10:00pm
Starting with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner and live music, members are encouraged to enjoy the last activity of the meeting.
Spouse Activities
Ladies, join us each morning between 7:00 am – 9:00 am in the Grand Ocean Terrace for breakfast!
Thursday, October 13
Beach Yoga, no charge
8:00am – 9:00am
Enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean as you relax and focus on strength, flexibility, balance, calmness and clarity. Instructor is trained to meet you where you are; great for any skill level.
Dolphin Tour, $50
11:00am – 12:30pm
Cruise with us on an exciting adventure and observe Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins in their natural habit. We guarantee dolphin encounters on each trip! We cruise down beautiful Broad Creek to watch dolphins, osprey, egrets, pelicans, bald eagles, a variety of shorebirds and marine life on our Hilton Head Island eco tour. Your captain and crew are friendly naturalists and experienced local water people. (Maximum 40 guests)
